Style:The Canvas Series began with the Canvas Verte in 2013. Before this moment, Gunny Straps had exclusively crafted leather straps—where Peter Gunny and his team had spent years perfecting their signature hand-vintaging method on leather surfaces. That mastery became the foundation of a new challenge.

In March 2013, Peter decided to experiment with applying the same hand-vintaging artistry onto canvas, creating the very first Canvas Verte. The response was overwhelming—it became our #1 best seller for two consecutive years, inspiring us to grow the collection into the full Canvas Series.

This series consists of 12 variants, each number representing a unique canvas color (No.1–No.12). Every strap is fully handcrafted and manually distressed, giving each piece its own character and identity. With wear, especially underwater use, the strap develops even deeper vintage charm. For vintage lovers and hardcore enthusiasts, this is the canvas strap that started it all.
